Dried rinds of the tree are pulverized and mixed with sugar is used for diarrhea and dysentery. For internal injuries, the rind is rubbed against Desu (’Plain stone’ usually in every house hold) and, by adding few drops of water, a thin paste is made which is applied to the injury. It is also used to help calm swelling resulting from such injuries. Fruit is usually given for all types of ailments, and even after recovery, due to its nutritional value.
