Local Practice:
Zaromul is a poisonous plant (lit. zaro - poison, mul - root). The roots are dug out cleaned and grind to a powder. This is mixed with butter or mustard oil and applied to the hair to strengthen, lengthen and shine. Care is taken in not applying the paste to any sensitive parts of the body (especially eyes) because of its poisonous nature, and it is also kept safe, away from children.
