Dried berries are collected; ground and a few drops of water are added to make a paste. Small tablets are made and, added to milk, are given to patients of Buk Chomique (throat pain/tonsilitis) and bronchitis. Sometimes the thin paste is applied directly around the eyes for various eye problems. The paste is also applied to the face as a ’puru’ for pimples and acne and to keep one’s skin soft.
