When there is sufficient rainfall, Qotzu (morells) can be collected in spring from various sites such as along irrigation channels and forests. They are usually fried in butter oil of vegetable ghee or sometimes served with milk. They are also collected and threaded with string to be dried for later use. Qotzu fetch a good market price and are sold for Rs 3000-4000 per kg at the local market.
